The Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon is the oldest artistic schools of high education in Portugal. With its origin connected to the Fine Arts Academy, founded in 1836, this Faculty has become through time an artistic school linked to contemporary art and design, guided by a constant preoccupation of occupying a place of action in nowadays culture.

The Faculty is located at the historical center of the city, pole of Lisbon’s modernity statement since the XIX century, occupying the building that once was the Monastery of Saint Francis of Chiado, faithfully representing the creative and timeless spirit that Faculty the of Fine Arts attempts to materialize. Taking advantage of the remarkable space that surrounds it, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon gives the opportunity to artists all around the world of meeting the dynamics of a city that appeals to creative unrest.
